James M. Doohan, The Lovable Montgomery Scott or Scotty of Star Trek the Original Series passed away today at the age of 85, he lived in Redmond, and will be missed dearly by not just Trekkers or Trekkies but by Sci-Fi fans everywhere.
Fun Facts:
Not that I particularly care for where this country has gone, but I recall reading that in the mid 70s, a poll was taken at MIT of why they decided to become engineers, almost 80% said it was because of seeing Scotty on Star Trek.
He was canadian, and while serving the canadian military during world war two lost the middle finger on his right hand, (most easily seen in episode Cat's Paw i think...)
When tring out for the part of Chief Engineer in the original series he tried 7 different accents, the producers liked him so much, he got to pick his accent then they improved his name, his middle name being montgomery became his first name, and scott, for his scottish accent was chosen as his second name.

Anyway, he will be missed, of the original series he is joining Dr. Mccoy played by DeForest Kelley, both made special guest appearances in Next Gen, and Doohan has left behind a VERY large number of kids, one only 4 years old.

Jason Webley will be playing at the firehouse on July 6th, one of only a few days he will be home from Europe until the end of the year, I encourage all of you to go. He is amazing.

My honor system which has been honed from being born in Iowa (let's not go there....) living in the south (let's not go there either) and reading lots and lots of fantasy novels, that is the key. The wheel of time has been a huge influence on me personally.

On the way home, Katie was driving me and like rob and kayla. but we were on woodinville redmond road, and we were under the transformer thing as it exploded. IT WAS AMAZING this bright white flash then blue and red and yellow and sparks shot out infront of and on the hood of the car. It happened again as we passed.

Last two days have been msotly crapt.
FIRST OFF SPEED GRAPHER AND UEKI need to have new episodes out, they should of been out sunday, monday at the latest, by a god group, but as of today there isn't anything out even by a BAD group. WTF IS GOING ON!!!!!

school has been, well pretty much crapt as usual,

oh yes, conclave is like...two episodes behind on what i have been wanting to watch, and onmyou taisenki which is supposedly at like episode 22 in japan has only been subbed to episode 3....WHY!?

i dont really know what goes on in my head anymore and i don't care. The other day i totally cut off every emotion i had to see how i would feel. Although it made me really emotional the next day, i somehow was able to learn all of my japanese vocab for my kanji/vocab test in about 25 minutes.

I had to abandon my mixed doubles match with nicole on friday which sucked, all to go to the mariners game....luckily i got paid to take our bobble heads to the car, so i walked to the international district ^__^ while that was slightly redeeming, and now that i am typing i remember i have pocky g left (oh and josh/kyoka those delicious chocolate cookie trees/shrooms now come in tree stumps as well) but yes..the only other redeeming/confidence losing event was when i saw this super cute japanese girl trying to buy something and looked like she needed help but i was too shy to talk to her.....sigh whatever at least their is pocky, mmm mmm good

TSUBASA CHRONICLE #1 IS AMAZING!! GAAAAAH....i can't wait, they need to finish them all, NOW

(Compared to the manga, it is very good, the music is fantastic, and the voice acting, at first struck me as not fitting the characters, but within 5 minutes i stopped noticing and it worked)

soooo, i was like, actually sick with a fever and everything for the last 4 days or whatever, it was boring as usual. but hey, i am uber psyched for my hime 26 which should be out....soooooon.

casey, i need you to do me a favor. remember that flash series those kids made with the fighting in that higschool like last summer we watched, or maybe the one before it, i need you to remember!!! i cant find it.

aaaand so the worst two weeks of my life have ended.....time to go buy comic books

so yesterday was fun right, i help josh's dad's girlfriend move, yeah the croatian, into the new house with tj which was actually pretty fun, i made some money.

And afterthat, i had to go to kelsi's surprise birthday right, which was all well and good until derek asks me a rob to see who can drink a 2 liter bottle of soda in 2 minutes, for 20 dollars.

I am not usually...ya know like that but for 20 dollars, so i get stuck with mountain dew and rob gets tropicana pink lemonade, which is totally unfair from an healthy stand point. Anyway yeah, i drank till there was about 2 inches left, rob got down to....HALF of his bottle, which is ridiculous since i actually felt my stomach fill up and start pressing outward, it was pretty darn creepy.

Oh oodles of fun updates, since this thing was down and I actually wanted to use it for once in my life. So friday, first off this was the worst weak ever but the weekend seems to be going much better. For starters school as most of you know, was like the shortest and most uselss day ever, so luckily i just left during block when i "went to get some water". Anyway so I go with Lior and Jaime to Lior's house where Jaime calls PK and forces him to skip school and come take us to bell square. Once there we shop a bit, talk about how we are hungry (actually me and pk were hungry at Liors house and we didnt eat until way later at Ooobas) anyway yeah we got Jana the soundtrack to ray which looks really good, and umm yeah i bought some cds. Anyway all of this was fun and then i went back to my mom's when right when i am about to be picked up Liza calls. Here is where the real fun begins. So i go to my dads, call liza back and she comes to pick me up cause we REALLY want to see IN GOOD COMPANY.  here is our car conversation

Me: "so what theatre is it at anyway?"

Liza:"Bella at 7:40"

so we get there, at about 7:41, and Liza knows the girl that is working, Laura something, i dont know her anyway.  ANyway after we request our tickets she informs us that it isn't playing there.....SOO liza feeling guilty has me drive us to RTC, where i parallel park and we rush up to the theatre, where it is sold out.  AT this point we are bored, very bored.  Luckily though i get this idea, i say it is surprise so i make liza get in the car again and i start driving to Lanworkz or whatever, but cause the street is odd we have to go way around right, and i am bored so we start going to the mall when i take a right and end up at the other building where tower records used to be which irriated me, cause liza had this idea it would be playing there.  We go down 5 levels in the lot when i decide to leave, and as i am trying to leave someone just backs out and gives me there spot.  Sooo we go upstairs, and in good company! ....started at 7:30.  Anyway we leave, and go to lanworks, where we play ddr some times, and it is loads of fun, but it got hot.  (she was also saying it was odd because she didn't belong, well tough) so we leave, and i am still driving for some reason, and we go to bell square, cause liza wants dip n' dots at mcdonalds.  Well, we make a quick stop in crate and barrel, cause that is a great store and as we get in the mall, liza....trying to be  clever goes towards the elevator as i walk down the stairs.  Anyway i wait down there for 7 minutes and as we get to mcdonalds, it closes.  anyway we go to redmond, and liza, comments on my driving the only time during the whole night, that maybe i shouldn't be going 80 without a license and in someone elses car, so i slowed down....anyway she gets her dip n' dots, and hmmm yeah that is about it, i took us to 60 acres to eat cause it was all clear and pretty but she was cold and....it was bothersome but ooh well.

 

Saturday:  Jana's party, hung out with Liza and Kelsi while they were preparing a gift beforehand, and had some fun on the ice.  Umm party was fun, i felt antisocial for most of it.  Special note, sorry i couldn't be there ting, Jana invited me before you did and well i feel bad, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY, i hope you got some good stuff.  ummm yeah...

Sunday:6-9 at library for Huck Finn, how exciting?
